I think the person who knows was probably the victim of 'reslutting'. The result of reslutting, of course, is a reslut;)
But seriously: in order to get a realistic answer to your question, we have to know what it is, and what you really did: it may turn out to have nothing to do with using ContentResolver instead of "activity query" -- whatever that was supposed to mean. Again, as I have done so often in this forum, I refer you to http://www.catb.org/esr/faqs/smart-questions.html, a site I cannot recommend too highly. It does not have the answer to your immediate question, but it opens the door to much more.
