Launcher currently uses a number of experimental/private APIs. If you are doing this to create something you will place on Market, you *must* change the code to not use those APIs.
If you are doing this as part of platform development for a device, personally I would recommend just using the platform's build system. Any tricks one uses to build Launcher in Eclipse without fixing the code will *not* create an application that should be placed on market.
