I'm wondering if it is possible to set my phone into Headset Profile mode. I see that I can put it into headset gateway mode (Headset Profile 1.1 in Audio Gateway role) but I would really want the Audio headset role.
It doesn't appear that the SDK supports this. Would I be able to do this with the NDK (I doubt this because it appears as though this only allows me to make native code using the APIs in the SDK). I also see (from http://source.android.com/porting/bluetooth.html) that the BlueZ libraries exist in user space and that the framework uses BlueZ to do everything. Is it possible for me to access BlueZ's API, and perhaps inturn be able to put my phone into "Headset Role"? Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find this question anywhere else with an answer.
