Currently I'm using a 600+ Kb hosts file to avoid ads when browsing.
It worked ok when connected thru wifi, but was not useful when
connected thru 3G.
Didn't found any useful info searching the web. Noticed the APN
provided for my ISP included a proxy with port 8080, so I experimented
creating a new APN with just this two data: [Name] and [APN] (not
proxy, not port... nothing else than the two first fields), and
voilá... now hosts file blocks ads thru wifi, and thru 3G.

Searched this group for sometthing related, but didn't found nothing,
so I decided to post thinking would be useful.
