I've noticed that a lot of apps in the Market request signature or signatureOrSystem permissions. (E.g., Shazam and LauncherPro request some signatureOrSystem permissions.)
Is there a way to tell who signed an APK, so you know whether the system will grant it signature status? I suspect many of these applications are not really signed by the system key, but want to check. Is there a way to install something into /system from the Market?
