Hello Android Devs forum [post #1]... I am working on my first android application, and am finding the learning curve a bit steeper then my previous programming endeavors. This is probably due to my attempt at something advanced before going through all the tutorials (why did it take me being very high while writing this to decide and do that immediately?).
I need use a class from an Android system apk which isn't included in the Android api. This might be a lot to ask, but can someone explain or provide some example code for me in order to analyze how this may be accomplished? It is OK if the process would require root access, but even better if it doesn't :P On a related note, is there any resource online to easily discover what permissions are required for a specific action?
