Hello, I have some basic queries regarding in-field application and firmware upgrade regarding android.
1. Is there a generic mechanism(client side) to upgrade boot-loader and kernel, or the device manufacturers have to implement themselves? 2. Is there a different mechanism(client-side) to upgrade android framework itself , like upgrading a infield device from Android 2.1 to Android 2.2? 3. How is it done for apps, for non Mobile devices? I would be very thankful to get pointers to more information answering these queries.
