TreKing is right. You should enable GPS on your test device (Settings > Location and Security).
Then in your onLocationChanged, you can put in a Toast or Log to display to you the current location. If you don't get location updates, try setting Use Wireless Networks (also in Settings > Location and Security). - Zarah.
