That may simply be a problem with the emulator, particularly if you
are running it in QVGA mode, as your image suggests. Try it on
hardware, or on the emulator in different resolutions.

Note that you can set the divider height to be whatever you wish,
using the android:dividerHeight attribute on ListView.
