The one I have looked at is using private implementation details to find out
when an app switch happens.  As such, there is a good chance it will break
in the future.  Actually I have done some investigation with warning the
user about what it is doing or otherwise dealing with it; I don't have a
solution yet as it is tricky to do without breaking well behaved
applications.  Unless I just wanted to directly change the implementation
detail it is relying on for no other purpose than to break it...
 which admittedly is sometimes tempting. :)
