Is there a way to get/set a generic device name ? My app will offer the user an option to use the same app on several devices and they will be aware of each other through server.
1) Is there anything in the APIs to allow me to fetch some kind of friendly device name (cannot be OS/model since user might have the same on both devices) ? 2) AFAICT the only option is to use Bluetooth name but how can I fetch my device name in code ?
