Yep, I've done all those things. To clarify, the 1.6 correlation may be a red herring. When I used this trick on my 1.6 G1 last year it worked... and the same apps still show up as "Installed" when using my 2.2 N1. However, I can't make it happen with additional apps now, using either phone/version. So I suspect it's actually to do with either when an app was released, or when you first tried the trick. I know your TreKing app has been out for a long time, and the same is true for several of my apps where this is working - they've been out a while, and I tricked the Market into thinking I had purchased them before ~January. But with newer apps - my next data point is one I released in April - I can't make it work. Either way, it's one more annoyance to the Market. Apparently this is by design, but what the heck difference would it make if devs could purchase that one copy of their own app??
