You can't find them because the /data directory is often not browsable
on a secured (consumer) device

However, you may be able to access files below there if you can guess
their exact path names

For example, your application is probably in /data/app/
your.packagage.name.apk
and it's .so may be in /data/data/your.package.name/lib/

The adb shell would be a way to access a full path name, don't recall
if DDMS can.

Rooting the phone would make it easier to look around.
