Hi Khushi, I developed an app which uses GPS and have been heavily using the command "geo fix <longitude> <latitude>". I've never had issues with sending dummy location information to the emulator. Except once, when my computer was not connected to the Internet. I don't know why, but it seems that the emulator control needs Internet connection to work properly. I don't know exactly your situation, but ensure that your development computer is online.
