A far better use for this tactic is to answer negative comments with a preface like "Developer Comment: I've tested the app completely on the XYZ and it works perfectly." or something to that effect. That way you show any potential users that you care about the comments and are actively engaged, plus the obvious fact that the thing does in fact work on the XYZ in spite of the 1 star jerk's comment. As for feedback from users, I suggest making it very easy for them by supplying a method for them to simply click a button/link/whatever in side the app to contact you directly. That's what I do and have received extremely valuable suggestions and bug reports and questions from people having some sort of difficulty. The easier you make it for your users to interact with you, the better their experience will be.
