This seems to be a OS question, does anyone know the answer?

What info is available about the android os having access to hardware
capabilities of the TI WiLink Wireless Chip with the ANT+ protocol
stack. hTC and Android OS used this for the tour de france data feed
with the hTC - Columbia cycling team this summer.

What plans for Android OS release to have driver for this hardware
interface?
WiLink provides WiFi already on most cell phone hardware, and has
added ANT+ protocol stack to WiLink chip.
