Hi,

FYI I have the same problem on an HTC Desire (Bravo), Android 2.2 /
2.29.405.5, kernel 2.6.32-15. Exactly the same symptoms as you, text-
to-speech output works fine on speaker but is muted when pluging-in
headphones. Other sounds (notification stream) from same application
works fine on both. I tried to change the stream parameter to other
stream/channel (notification, music, phone voice, etc...) with the
KEY_PARAM_STREAM, no changes.

Regards,

Laurent
