I'm using windows 7 64 bit and although it wasn't 100% straighforward there are no dealbreakers. I'm using 64 bit java and it works fine although my java_home is c:\glassfishv3\jdk. Eclipse doesn't install anywhere, you simply run the executable from wherever it's unzipped, so put it in program files(x86) and put in a shortcut.
