Now, that is interesting. Moving the repeatCount and repeatMode settings to the XML made it mostly work. Setting the Duration in the Java does properly override the setting in the XML. Setting Count and Mode does not.
Also, the listeners onAnimationStart() is called exactly once. OnAnimationRepeat() is never called - even though the animation is repeating.
