The Nexus S doesn't have this problem at all because it doesn't have a
slot for an sdcard, so it can't be expanded.

Samsung got it right with the Galaxy S phones because the sdcard is
mounted as a subdirectory of the built-in external storage mount
point, which means the media scanner will scan and index it when it's
mounted.

HTC got it wrong with the Incredible, and I hope everyone learned from
their mistake.
