I am fairly certain that document is newer than 1.5, but, never mind. I have an Android 2.3 device. I have tried some third-party app widgets (Ambling, Remember the Milk, Extended Controls). None appear to have 11px cropped off the bottom. Hence, the problem you are experiencing may solely be with the 2.3 emulator.
