Hi, I am streaming local audio and video files of a mobile device to another android devce using FFMpeg. Is there a way to detect/ know the Codec format of the file programatically as it needs to be passed to FFMpeg. I am using the Media Scanning logic of ContentProvider ( MediaStore.Audio.Media and MediaStore.Video.Media). The table does not contain any column for getting Codec information.
