There is a problem in our current project. We used some tool other than Android SDK Draw 9-patch to draw the 9.png images. But found the result images will cause build errors saying that the frame pixels are not transparent which is indeed transparent in the tool we used.
Then we re-edited these error images using Draw 9-patch and these errors gone. So, I'm very confused about if the 9-patch (NinePatch) is standard png format.
