This is more related to trademarks than anything. I've run into the same issue with my IME which is designed with a similar layout to the iPhone. Of course I want people to find it when they search for iPhone so I need to include that word.
Apparently under US and Canadian trademark fair use rules, I can include it as a descriptive word. However, if you actually look around the market, you will see a lot of apps that are blatantly infringing trademarks of one sort or another. Who knows if anyone will ever call them on it? - Brill Pappin On Jan 5, 6:06 pm, Ma <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi all, > I'm a new developer and I was wondering if there are certain words and > phrases that can't be used in an application name.
