I have tried specifying our local dns servers and Google's public dns
server.

Using the local servers I get this error:
### WARNING: could not add DNS server '192.168.<snip>' to the network
stack
### WARNING: will use system default DNS server

Using Google's public dns server I get this message:
DNS server name '8.8.8.8' resolved to 8.8.8.8:55

The Exception still occurs for either configuration.
