They provide leadership for the technology team and work closely with the project management to plan and execute the client engagement. They are responsible for ensuring the delivered solutions are scalable, well integrated and conform to the project’s business and technical requirements.* * * *The Enterprise Architect will be client facing. They will be responsible for gaining the confidence of the client and guiding them through technical decisions. In addition, the Architect will need to be able to help the client establish long term technology strategies and build plans for executing those strategies* * * *The Enterprise Architect provides oversight to various geographically distributed project teams and organizational leadership in all areas of technology. They are also responsible for identifying technology opportunities to support our business development objectives..* *Primary Responsibilities* *· Providing technology leadership in a client facing capacity* *· Work with client’s technical staff and business users to determine overall software architecture that best suits the client’s needs* *· Design and architect scalable applications and integration solutions on various hardware and software platforms* *· Lead technical requirements assessments, technical design and architecture activities and documentation* *· Be well versed in various SOA and integration methodologies in order to architect solutions for interfacing with third party software, legacy and back end systems* *· Work closely with the project managers on project planning and execution activities * *· Act as a mentor for all the technical staff on the project as well as being a technical leader for the company* *· Continually stay abreast of new technologies as software and their impact on solutions provided to our clients* *· Assist with mentoring and training staff members on latest technologies and development methodologies* *· In addition to client engagements, the Solutions Architect assists with pre-sales initiatives including attending meetings, creating sales materials, contributions to RFP responses, proposal delivery and architectural assessments.* *Requirements* *· Minimum of 10-12 years of technical industry experience as well as experience in public health, health care operations, telecommunications, or other related fields is highly desirable * *· Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field; or equivalent experience* *· Proven track record of implementing and actively managing fundamental architectural frameworks, methodologies, and architectures* *· Experience with large-scale high-volume application design, development and deployment for supply chain, B2B, and B2C operations* *· Implementation experience with enterprise level clustering, load balancing, fail-over, scalability and performance tuning* *· Detailed knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Object Oriented Analysis and Design/Development (OOA/OOD).* *· Experience designing and developing EDI solutions including translation, mapping and integration* *· Integration experience with large scale enterprise applications (examples: SAP, Oracle, Lawson, Peoplesoft) * *· Database (Oracle and SQL Server) product knowledge including transaction management, SQL programming, schema design and JDBC* *· Participates in project management process, including participating in project meetings. Document issues, action items, user requirements, or deliverables from project meetings.* *· Performs a variety of project related activities, including analysis or preparation of documentation and presentations* *· Professional and strong communication skills.
