Yeah, I can't get it to work either. When I fire up ithe browser, it crashes rendering the homepage. I don't have time to click the X to stop it so I've never managed to type in a different address yet.
Your screenshot is the same as mine - the blue progress bar has never got past the "l" in google in the address bar.
