You aren't waiting long enough. When you run the emulator, first you get ANDROID in plain monospace text, then you get a graphical ANDROID logo (in the official Android font), then you get the home screen, then your app runs. When you first run a new AVD, the plain-monospace step of the emulator startup is significantly longer than subsequent runs, as your AVD is only really being created at that point. -- Mark Murphy (a Commons Guy) http://commonsware.com | http://github.com/commonsguy http://commonsware.com/blog | http://twitter.com/commonsguy Android Training in London: http://bit.ly/smand1 and http://bit.ly/smand2 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
