This is a question about domain specific state. It is not so much about storage mechanisms like SQLite or Shared Preferences (although they are no doubt part of the answer). Perhaps an example will help. Lets say I have an app with 4 states: JUMPING, TUMBLING, FALLING, CRASHING. What I need to know is how each to store these states where I can access them from a Widget, From an Activity, a Service etc in a synced manner so that I always know what state the application is in. Of course store and resume is part of this, but I am really talking about how to maintain the application state in synced manner that is accessible anywhere in the application at any time, I have some ideas, but what I am looking for is best practice here from those who have done this.
