Unfortunately, the term 'MVC' has suffered some corruption over the years: purists, especially Smalltalk aficionados, insist that unless you do it the Smalltalk way, it is not MVC. Others use the term more loosely, many too loosely.
In any case, some of the latter DO say that Android's SDK meets the MVC model already.
