You're lucky you get *any* kind of network in your emulator. On my previous xp install every one in five boots of the emulator never found a "network" connection. And when I did get a network connection but left the emulator open for many hours (>24), the network just stopped functioning completely even though the icon remained.
I've cut over now win7x64 and every single time I start the emulator, I have no network connection. I created, deleted, restored, restarted, downgraded all my avds and none of them get a network connection. So at the mo, I'm having to run my emulator within a virtualbox instance of my cloned original xp machine. Very frustrating, but it's the only thing that works 4 out of five times for me... :-) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
