The G1 has a multicore CPU in that it contains a discrete CPU and GPU but not 2 CPU cores. The iPhone has 1 ARM CPU (same arch as G1) and 1 discrete GPU. 2) The iPhone actually has a faster CPU (620Mhz) than the HTC G1 (528Mhz). It has less ram at 128MB vs the G1's 192MB so that would be a potential issue. It also has a bigger battery (1400mah vs 1150mah). 3) OSX on a PC? Besides the obvious driver issues, why wouldn't this work? Macs use the same CPUs that PCs do now. A Core 2 CPU is a Core 2 CPU. It's not like apple has some sort of magic hardware that runs way faster than what other companies can get a hold of.
