Hi, sorry if this has been asked already, I've tried searching, but didn't find an answer.
I've not got an Andriod device yet, but I've tried developing a simple application which just shows Bluetooth devices, the emulator I'm using (within Eclipse) crashes any time I try to do anything with bluetooth. I've got a peripheral which installs as a 'serial port' on a windows device. So, my question, before I get the actual Android device, is whether it can pair and share information with a peripheral which Windows would see as a 'serial port', or would I have to communicate with this device directly with bluetooth ?? Also, I've got an equivalent peripheral which connect via USB, but this also is seen as a 'serial port' once it's plugged in...(in Windows). Thanks Rich. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
