Hardware layers can be used both to apply special blending effects to views
(opacity, blending modes, color filters, etc.) and to improve animations
performance. When a View's hardware layer is turned on, the View is cached
into an OpenGL texture. So if you translate/rotate/fade a View, it will be
very cheap because the View itself is never redrawn.
