I don't want to get into much details but just the form of my application can't be presented in a landscape form - it will only look good in portrait so I want to keep it this way. I now had added
android:configChanges="orientation|keyboardHidden" To all of my activities (when I added 'globally' for application tag it didn't work) and it seem to stop the restarting.
