Just a note regarding the emulator loosing network connectivity. My
emulator indicated it had no connection (no 3G icon and the signal
strength icon had an X in it). I spent way more time than I'd like to
admit thinking I had an issue with my code as I did not notice the
emulator icon. Finally tried to access network with browser in the
emulator and realized it was definitely not my code. Searched this
group and found the hint about turning airplane mode on and off and
that worked. Only had to do it once. In case it helps, I originally
developed most my code with my laptop having a wifi connection and
then I did some work while it was on a wired connection. Do a lot of
going back and forth normally. Just getting started with this mobile
development.
