By my computation it is 275 dpi (960x540 4" diagonal screen).  The hdpi
density is 240, xhdpi is 320, so it is somewhere between the two.  They are
maybe pushing it a little bit, but not much if you consider the G1, which
was 180dpi.  Our mdpi is 160; if you scale that up to hdpi that is the
equivalent of 270dpi.  So it basically has the same UI element size as a G1,
on a larger effective space.
