Are you serious? Expecting that an old version of the APK would show if the newer one is targeting a later SDK would require forward thinking from the Market team. The last couple of years has shown us that the Market infrastructure team is completely reactionary with zero forward thinking. Otherwise, what kind of genius would come up with the 200 character app description limit if they were in any way anticipiating the future?
They are the polar opposite of the rest of the Android team.
