IMHO it's quite normal, so do not cry :) Don't think there's much you can do. I'd rather say it's quite common (and 56% is quite high anyway). The longer app is on market the value be lower as much more users will download it and test and uninstall. And howveer some will keep it (so your userbase will grow anyway), the download to installed ratio will go down.
