Sorry for the lack of info. The design of my app is similar to the Android's Settings application: each screen is its own PreferenceActivity. I use this to control the different devices I have connected, via bluetooth. I first connect to the different devices in one screen (one PreferenceActivity). I then switch between the other screens, which list different options for each device. However I need to keep the connection as I switch between screens.
Although the more I think about it, it seems more of a problem that I would have to fix in the custom API that I created for the bluetooth device in question. I'll look more into it.
