Not that I am surprised too much. Frankly, what surprised me most, was the fact that you got no influence on how DRM is applied to your app. With LVL you could at least mess with checking code to some degree, which makes automated attacks futile. With Amazon's approach you got "one ring to rule them all" thing. Once it failed, it failed for every app too.
