Hi,

I've been developing on Android for a while now using the Android Emulator.
Now I've across a project which requires fingerprinting various wifi signals
available in the surrounding environment. At present I don't have an Android
phone and I know wifi connectivity doesn't work with the emulator yet. Is it
sufficient to test the application on the emulator by creating dummy live
network

for
the application to use or is it necessary to have a phone for this purpose?

P.S: Wifi fingerprint is the pattern of signal strengths of a collection of
WiFi access points visible in a particular area.
