Frankly, there's no way you're building this for a school project, especially if you're already stuck and have no idea where to even begin. Pick something smaller in scope. If you insist on trying this, you will want to look up: Location GeoPoint LocationManager GeoCoder MapView Google Places API Google Directions API And that's just for starters.
