Tree views are very hard to use on small mobile devices. Maybe up to 2 or 3 levels is fine, but that's just about it. Instead, try to implement a 'sliding' list, where clicking on an item in a list-view (list-item is a parent-node) will open up another activity with a list of this list-item's children. Make the list-activities slide out and slide in to create a proper transition effect. If you have a landscape orientation, you may be able to show an activity with 2 list-views at the same time to maintain a bit more context of the path your user is walking within the tree.
