Your question is though not very clear, but i am getting an impression that you are dealing with more than one activity and then facing problem on pressing back button or at re-start. If thats the case, then you can check Activity stack and see the order of activities getting launched. Use this command:
adb shell dumpsys activity Hope that helps.
