OK, so I have some advantage because I've done a few of these, but seriously... Googling for "Start application at phone boot" (the title you gave this thread) produced a bunch of results. Admittedly, many of those aren't for Android, but #5 on the list was http://www.helloandroid.com/tutorials/running-code-phone-boot. Or, simply adding the word "android" to that search string gives LOTS of relevant results.
