Sadly, this works only if you only target the about 2% devices with Android 2.3... But the main reason for me to revive this thread: Is it possible to get the current dock mode while being compatible to the majority of devices (i.e. Android 2.1/2.2)? It doesn't seem like the broadcast is sent after registerReceiver with null intent, like it works e.g. for HEADSET_PLUG. Additionally: Is there a way to emulate the dock modes?
