Thanks. Mostly I think I would like to know which ones are basic enough that I don't end up with sample code that is more advanced than I can handle. So, maybe it would have been better to ask which samples are the basic as good junping in points.
Nevertheless, I will take your advice to heart and trudge into the samples I find most interesting.
