Question: In the online version of "Programming Android", the
author(s) make the following two comments, back to back (the
second is in a shaded box):
-------------------
If you elect to be a publisher of paid
applications, you will be directed to a page
where you can create a "merchant account."
This may sound a bit intimidating, but Google
has made it easy to get paid. You don't need
to form a corporation or get a business bank
account.
-------------------
Caution
You should consult a lawyer about forming a
corporate entity for your business and you
should segregate your business finances from
your personal accounts.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these two statements certainly
appear to contradict each other. For ad-supported/donation
apps, which should I choose (then again, the fact that I can't
afford a lawyer might make it a moot point...but I AM still
curious). I am, however, already planning to get a PayPal
debit card to link the Google account to, instead of going
direct to my bank account. I can even make my PayPal
account a business account at no cost, if I want to.
