- See if your phone as a setuid root copy of tcpdump installed.   

- Otherwise point it at a test server (you can make one with netcat even) on 
a local machine (you'll need to switch from 3g to wifi unless you local 
machine is externally routable) and see what the request looks like.  Or 
find one of those websites that will tell you all about the browser you 
visit it with.  Or rent your own cloud server for a few cents an hour and 
test against that.

- Root the phone and port any packet capturing software of your choice
